First of all, if your door is new (i.e. one where the hole for the lock has not been cut), then the lock will definitely fit your door. If your door is old (i.e. a hole has already been cut), then you have to take into account the thickness of the door and the distance of the hole from the edge of the door and see whether the new electrical lock can be fitted into the previous hole

The battery usage life depends on what brand of battery is used. We recommend you use branded alkaline batteries e.g. Duracell or Energiser. They will usually last for 1 year depending on how often you use the door lock.

There is an indicator light, when the battery is getting low, it will become red in color constantly . Also, when opening the lock, there is an alarm sounds coming up too.

You will still be able to unlock the door with the external DC 9V battery or you can manually unlock the door with the supplied spare key . We recommend that you check the battery levels at regular intervals.
