The heavily built, 26 rifle slot, Bighorn B6030EL is full of security features. Both the electronic lock and the safe design have each earned Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) certifications for security. The 700 lb. safe body is 3 mm thick steel. Ten 1.25" diameter door bolts (7 active and 3 dead) supported by anti-pry supports, secure the 4.75" thick door with a 1.5" thick door front. A smoothly operating rack and pinion drive system provides 1.75" of door bolt extension, almost 40% more than the typical gun safe. The extra thick door, anti-pry supports, and long door bolt extension combine for superior pry protection. The lock is protected by three layers of hardened armor plate along with an internal relocker for added protection, designed to deadbolt the entire system if the lock is attacked.
