Use this complete system (alarm and seat belt), and you will know when your loved one or patient is getting up from their wheelchair. By having an alarm attached to the seat belt, you will hear the alert in another room or across the house. The seat belt is considered non-restraint. Meaning, that it has an easy, velcro release of the catch. As soon as your patient pulls the velcro closure, the alarm will start to sound. This is a wonderfully early alert, because you will hear it before they start to stand. |

When you need to know when they are getting up from their wheelchair this is a great product, because as soon as they release the belt, an alert will sound. System includes everything you need. The seat belt easily attaches using a grommet attachment to the seat of the wheelchair. The seat belt is attached by a short cord to an alarm monitor which hangs on the handles of the wheel chair. When your patient decides they want to get out of their wheel chair, they place their hand inside a loop on the seat belt and pull their hand back, which releases the seat belt. When that happens, the alarm monitor will sound, alerting you that they are trying to get up.

With this system, you will know BEFORE your patient starts to stand, and that they are intending to get out of their chair. This is because the alarm sounds as soon as they release the catch on the seat belt, and before they place their hands on the arms of their chair, and start to push themselves up to a standing position.

The alarm has an on/off switch and volume control, so you can easily turn off once you reach your patient.

System operates on one 9 volt battery (not included). You can also purchase an optional AC adapter which will reduce the number of batteries you use over the life of the products. Contact seller if you are unsure which AC works with your system.
